Coalstack
Roadmap

Roadmap

Everything here is planned but not scheduled yet. Priorities shift based on what users ask for, so if something here matters to you, let us know.

Platform

Bringing Coalstack to more operating systems and editions.

macOS Support

A native Coalstack app for macOS with the same feature set as Windows. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs both supported, built on the same Tauri + React core.

Linux out of experimental

The Linux build ships now as a .deb and .AppImage, with firewall rules and UPnP already working natively. Next: an .rpm for Fedora and clearing the remaining rough edges (see the Linux notes) so it drops the experimental label.

Bedrock Edition Support

Manage a Bedrock Dedicated Server alongside your Java Edition servers. Start, stop, configure, and monitor Bedrock servers from the same dashboard you use for Java.

Loaders & Compatibility

Supporting more of the Minecraft server ecosystem.

Quilt Mod Loader

Full Quilt support in the Setup Wizard, Marketplace mod compatibility checks, and modpack installer. Quilt sits alongside Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge as a first-class loader option.

Docker: Forge & NeoForge

Extend Docker mode to Forge and NeoForge servers, which use a different launch style involving argument files. Currently Docker mode is limited to Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, and Fabric.

Distribution & Trust

Making Coalstack easier to install and safer to recommend.

Code Signing

A properly signed Windows installer and executable so the app passes SmartScreen without the blue warning. The installer will be signed with an Extended Validation code signing certificate.
